Volume Bottle Type Pulsation

The simplest form of a pulsation dampener is a volume bottle, sometimes called a surge drum or accumulator. A volume bottle dampener is a pressure vessel without internal baffles and is usually mounted directly to the liquid head inline connection, either suction or discharge or both.

Pulsation is another problem that is typical with most metering pumps and in some cases cannot be tolerated by the application.

  • Voltage meter, Frequency meter.
  • All instruments are tested as per govt.standard at approved govt. lab
  • Pumps up to 7000 LPH flow and maximum 450 BAR pressure can be tested.

Volume Bottle Type Pulsation

For such situations, vibration dampers are available in various sizes and materials to help eliminate pressure vibrations and fluctuations in pipelines. They only work when installed in the pipes in the correct way, in the correct order and at the correct pressure. In some installations where suction lines are long or have many bends, a bottle vibration damper is needed; this is because the gauge is "pushing" the pressure. The damper on the suction side of the pump is responsible for supplying water to the pump and limiting the risk of cavitation.
