Filter Press Pump

We are a filter press manufacturer. These are used to transfer the sludge under pressure to the filter press to form a filter cake with a low acid content. By using these pumps, customers can save purified water/clean water which cannot be saved with centrifugal pumps due to high pressure (see picture on last page). We will achieve more success using our pump customers. The fluid head is designed to handle a variety of chemicals/sludges.

TESTING FACILITY

TEST FACILITY AT UDS

  • At time 6 pumps can be tested simultaneously
  • pump flow rate at working pressure
  • vibration of pump and motor, SOUND METER
  • Amp meter, Pressure meter
  • Voltage meter, Frequency meter.
  • All instruments are tested as per govt.standard at approved govt. lab
  • Pumps up to 7000 LPH flow and maximum 450 BAR pressure can be tested.

FAQ

Frequently asked question

A Filter Press Pump is a type of pump used to feed slurry into a filter press, a device used to separate solids and liquids in various industrial processes.

The pump feeds slurry into the chambers of the filter press. As the slurry flows through the filter cloths, solids are trapped, and the filtrate (liquid) passes through, resulting in dewatered solids and clear filtrate.

Common types include:
• Centrifugal Pumps: Often used for initial filling and low-pressure applications.
• Diaphragm Pumps: Suitable for high-pressure applications and handling abrasive slurries.
• Piston Pumps: Used for high-pressure and high-viscosity applications.
• Peristaltic Pumps: Ideal for gentle handling of shear-sensitive slurries.

ndustries include:
• Mining and mineral processing for dewatering mineral slurries.
• Chemical processing for separating chemical precipitates.
• Food and beverage for clarifying liquids.
• Pharmaceuticals for separating active ingredients.
• Wastewater treatment for sludge dewatering.

Benefits include:
• Efficient separation of solids and liquids.
• High throughput and processing capacity.
• Improved clarity of filtrate.
• Reduced waste volume and disposal costs.
• Versatility in handling various types of slurries and solids.

Maintenance tasks typically include:
• Regular inspection of pump components for wear and damage.
• Cleaning and flushing the pump to prevent buildup of residues.
• Checking and replacing worn-out seals and gaskets.
• Lubricating moving parts as specified by the manufacturer.
• Monitoring pump performance and addressing any operational issues promptly.

Safety measures include:
• Ensuring proper installation and secure connections to prevent leaks.
• Using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous slurries.
• Implementing emergency shutdown procedures and pressure relief mechanisms.
• Training personnel on safe operating practices and maintenance procedures.

Yes, many Filter Press Pumps are designed to handle abrasive and corrosive materials. Choosing the right pump material (e.g., stainless steel, Hastelloy, or elastomers) is crucial for compatibility with the specific slurry.

Considerations include: • Type and viscosity of the slurry. • Required flow rate and pressure. • Compatibility with the slurry's chemical composition. • Pump durability and resistance to wear. • Maintenance and service requirements.

Filter Press Pumps are available from specialized pump manufacturers, industrial suppliers, and distributors who provide solutions for slurry handling and filtration processes.
